brand new mazda CX70 engine options

Recently, my bro just bought a 2025 Mazda CX70, so I looked into it. The car offered two familiar engine choices, singing the same tune as its bigger sibling, the CX90.

First up is the e-SkyActiv G PHEV, a 2.5L four-cylinder amped up with a plugin hybrid system.

The second option is a 3.3-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder, getting a little juice boost from a mild hybrid setup.

While Mazda's keeping the exact specs close to their chest, it's likely the CX70's six cylinder will come in two flavors of horsepower, just like the CX90.

The PHEV is also expected to land in the same ballpark power wise as the CX90's version. So, when it comes to power, the CX70 isn't exactly reinventing the wheel.

Good options with the CX-70. It has the same engines as the CX-90.You can get a 3.3L turbo inline-6 with mild hybrid that offers either 280 or 340 hp or a 2.5L PHEV that delivers around 323 hp.Nothin super new but it's reliable stuff. I'd probably go with the inline-6 just for the feel of it

Then there's the 2.5L PHEV, which should give you around 323 hp and about 26 miles of electric range. It's essentially the same setup, just in a 2-row format. A great choice if you don't need that extra back seat
