Yeah, you're not the only one, I've had issues with fitment on a couple curt hitches, thing is that some mounts just don't line up right without a bit of persuasion, they could work once they're on, but the install is not very pretty
Had the same problem with mine on the CX-5. It technically fit, but I had to wrestle with the brackets to get everything lined up. I think it's a little rushed? Sooo... you just gotta have patience.
